Q. What is the normal turn around time for an order?
A. The turn around time depends on the order, in all cases we get the job done as fast as possible. For an average job, the turn around time is 2-3 business days, but it all depends on size, quantity, availability, etc. We always try to meet any of your deadline requests.
Q. What is Vector art?
A. Vector art is kind of like line art. It's when the image is made with paths and fills. It's the only format you can use for cutting vinyl and to keep the resolution of an image from breaking up and becoming blurry upon expansion. If you'd put a pen on a piece of paper and draw. Circles and Squares are simple vector images.
Q. What programs let me save in vector formats?
A. Corel Draw and Adobe Illustrator are the major software makers out there. Photoshop can export illustrator paths, and some other programs are also able to export their paths to illustrator file formats. We prefer to use Corel Draw and can handle anything from Corel Draw Version 8 to Version 15.
Q. How should I give you my artwork?
A. It all depends on what kind of product we are producing. If we are doing a 1 color vinyl sign/banner the best format is Corel Draw. In most cases if you can give it to us in Corel Draw format it's usually the best. We can also use a PDF or EPS file. They tend to work great most of the time. These type of files are usually what is needed to avoid any art charges. If we are doing embroidery for you, then we would need what is called a DST file, which most people don't have the means to save a file as. This results in us having to digitize the file and convert them within an embroidery program so the embroidery machine can read the fills and lines as stitches instead of line-art. There is a nominal fee for digitizing, but it is a one-time charge for each design.
Q. Do you accept "Zip, Jazz, CDs, USB Flash Drive or Super Disk" ?
A. We accept CD's or USB Flash Drive. We are sorry but at this time we do not accept Jazz, Super Disk, Click, Floppy Disk or other miscellaneous Media.
Q. What's the largest file size I can email you?
A. If it's 1.44 Megabytes or a 15 minute Download on a 56k Modem, then it's too big to send through email. If you have a file of a larger size we suggest you put it on a CD or USB Flash Drive.
Q. How long will this last in the weather?
A. Our standard Vinyl Banners last about 3-5 years, but we've seen longer. You can buy heavy duty banner material or High performance vinyl to extend the life of your banner. All of our Vinyl banners are weatherproof (rain, wind, snow, etc). Weather resistance and how long products will last depend on the actual product, feel free to contact us if you have any more specific questions.
Q. Are your prices competitive?
A. When comparing apples to apples we believe our prices are very competitive. We always put out the highest quality for the same price as our competitors. We will never sacrifice quality for price. If you're trying to stay within a budget, we will try to work with you as best as we can.
Q. Do you ship to our location?
A. We can ship to anywhere in the Continental United States using USPS, Couriers, UPS, Fed EX, Etc. for a nominal fee.
Q. What programs do you use to produce your signs? A. We use proprietary sign making software, you wouldn't have this software on your home computer, you wouldn't just buy these at your local retail store. But if you're curious, we have Corel Draw and Ciber Cut Max 5.5 and 5.6.
